FAITH a Gift from God

I will begin by stating that the subject of faith as presented
today and for many years, has placed the church in a very
confusing and deteriorated condition.  Satan knowing that
the scriptures presents a clear message  in Hebrews 11:6  “But without
faith it is impossible to please God …” has used his ministers
(See 2 Corinthians 11:13,14,15) in this area to bring chaos and
unbelief to the body of Christ.

All Satan has to do is to keep you away
from God’s faith and by doing this then it becomes impossible to please
God. As you can see, you do not have to be practicing sin and
still you will not please God  It is very important for the
believer  to grasp, retain and understand the true
principle in the subject of faith to withstand the forces of
darkness that have been sent to fight us to the very end.
Ephesians 6:10-18 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the
power of His might. 11
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand
against the wiles of the devil
12 For we do not
wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against
powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age
against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able
to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand
therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on
the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and having
shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 above all,
taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench
all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17 And take the
helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the
word of God; 18
praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,
being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication
for all the saints.

Faith as defined in Hebrews 11:1 reads “Now
faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen”  After you read the true meaning of faith
above, you get a pretty good understanding that IT IS NOT
something that humans can produce nor keep.  Faith is
divine, it comes from God as a gift, only God can give it, keep it and
manifest it.  When it comes to faith we have been taught that faith is something
we have or not have or lack of, when in reality it is the Gift
from God, Ephesians 2:8  “For by grace are ye saved through
faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God“.   It is very
simple yet widely distorted. Paul the author of the letter to the
Ephesians states that IT IS THE GIFT not a gift but rather THE GIFT
from God. It is very important to understand that all gifts that we
get from God are permanent, perfect and irrevocable (See Romans
11:29).  The gift of faith was provided to us by our Father as
the only avenue to lead us to Him through His beloved Son Jesus.
It is no wonder the apostle Paul commands Timothy, in his letter
1Timothy 6:12 “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal

The gift of Faith came after the death and resurrection of our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  In the letter to the
Galatians 3:23-25 Paul explains it,  23
But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept
for the faith which would afterward be revealed.
24 Therefore the
law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be
justified by faith. 25
But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. Prior to His death and
resurrection, faith was exercised in the old testament only by
the visual manifestation of God and during the life of Christ on
earth it was also manifested by the visual works of God in the
person of Christ our Lord.  For example Abraham believed
God only after the angel of God came and spoke to him, he saw
the angel and had a conversation with him, then he believed God
of His promise sent through the angel. Our faith, God’s faith,
is provided to us, is given to us, we do not have to work for it
or pray for it, we just receive the gift of Faith.  It was given to us so
that we can have His kind of faith, to believe God’s work for
mankind, from the death and resurrection of Christ through the
preaching of the Gospel, it is His faith in us that let us see
and believe the  glory we were going to
receive through His grace.  Many evangelical denominations
teach that faith is something that humans can manipulate, they
teach that some of us have more faith than others or that today
you have faith but tomorrow you have less.  The use of new
testament scriptures, specifically the gospels are used to teach
that kind of faith.  It has moved the church into a faith
of works, like may be if I pray early in the morning God will
hear me or if I fast 40 days I enter His favor, leading many
disciples to frustration with the life they being taught as they
fail to receive anything they have prayed for.  Many of
them have fallen into unbelief staying inside their churches
wondering why their prayers are not answered.  It is
dangerous, very dangerous  to fall into that doctrine.

God’s faith can not and will not change, it is perfect and we do
not have the need to get it each time we pray, we receive His faith when we hear His Gospel and it
stays with us forever.  His faith is pure, His faith is perfect and we do not lack any,
we can not ad to it or take from it. We grow in His faith, It is the manifestation of His faith in us that produces all of His work.  We just rest in His faith as He has rested from His works.  The apostle James wrote that Faith without works is dead, you can see that the works belong to God’s faith, God’s faith is complete and it, faith has its  own works and as the apostle Paul wrote in the book to the Ephesians, For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them (Ephesians
We have received His faith to enter into His rest, His presence and to be
partakers of His family.  This is why we are commanded to fight,
to make certain nobody brings a different concept or doctrine
other than the provision of His Gift, Grace through Faith, it is His gift
(faith) and through faith we receive the sight to see the invisible world of
our awesome God.  We are introduced by God through faith to His Son Jesus, we
get to know God through Jesus faith  and all the work is done through faith
by His Spirit.
